Started in 2006, Paula Johnson- Hutchinson had a vision to elevate not just Black hair care , but hair care in general. She along with husband, Melvin Hutchinson opened Fusion in April of 2006 on faith and belief that we all need a place to have a positive hair experience in a positive environment.

Our Business

Armed with Paula , who is a National Educator for Paul Mitchell, she and her team continue to set trends, and create a positive environment for today's client. The salon continues to grow by leaps and bounds . We feel so blessed to be a part of the "revolution" in our city of giving the clients what they need through style and community service. As we continue to evolve, we challenge all in our profession to stay true to the passion. When we have passion , the client is empowered!

Who We Are

Our salon is pleased to have been featured on Channel 9 (May 2006). We have also participated in several shows and have sponsored organizations committed to the empowerment of disadvantaged areas in the city. We also sponsor the G.L.A.M. Squad Project, which serves as mentors for young girls who want to learn a trade and social skills. And if you think that is something, you ain't seen nothing yet!
